Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
This policy explains what data CalcoMat ("we", "us") processes when you use calcomat.com, and which rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Short version: no accounts, no tracking without your consent, calculator inputs are not stored.

2. What we process - and what we do not
No accounts, no profiles. You can use every calculator, converter and tool without registering or logging in.
Calculator inputs are not stored. Values you enter are processed only to compute and display the result, then discarded. We do not log, sell or share your inputs.
Notes and tasks stay in your browser. The notepad and to-do list store text exclusively in your own browser (localStorage). It never reaches our servers and we cannot read it.
Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider technically records connection data (e.g. IP address, date, requested page) to operate and secure the server. We do not merge this data with other sources. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website).
3. Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of strictly necessary storage items plus one optional consent choice:
calcomat_lang(cookie, 1 year): remembers your language (your explicit choice, or your browser language on first visit).- Theme preference (localStorage, until you change it): remembers light or dark mode.
- Notepad and to-do contents (localStorage, until you delete them): your own texts, kept only in your browser.
calcomat_consent(localStorage, until you change it): remembers your analytics choice (granted/denied) so the banner does not reappear.
Legal basis for the technically necessary items: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Anything beyond that (section 4) requires your consent.
4. Google Analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) with measurement ID G-R3N0TCRY72 to understand which calculators are popular.
- Consent first. Nothing is loaded from Google until you click "Accept" in the consent banner. Without acceptance, no analytics cookies are set and no data goes to Google. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
- What is measured. Page views and basic usage events (e.g. which tool pages are opened). Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
- Transfers outside the EU. Google may process usage data in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Withdraw anytime. Click the
Cookieslink in the footer to reopen the banner and change your choice, with effect for the future. Alternatively use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
No advertising. We currently run no ads and set no advertising cookies (AdSense is disabled).
5. Who receives data
We do not sell personal data. Recipients are limited to:
- Our hosting provider (All-Inkl, Germany) for server operation, bound by a data-processing agreement.
- Google Ireland Limited, only after your analytics consent (see section 4).
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time with future effect (Art. 7(3)). To exercise any right, write to info at calcomat dot com. Since we hold almost no data about you, most requests can be answered immediately.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (for Hamburg) or the authority of your place of residence.
7. Children
CalcoMat is a general-audience tool site and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We update this page when the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes (e.g. new analytics tools) will additionally require a fresh consent choice.
